The Artisan Cage
Let the weave tell the story.

The Artisan Cage is an expressive handcrafted lampshade that brings together traditional bamboo weaving and a distinctive contemporary silhouette.

Its beautifully rounded, tiered form features a gently tapered crown and a broad lower body. The natural honey-brown bamboo creates a warm, earthy appearance, while the combination of tightly woven sections and open latticework creates an intriguing balance of solidity, lightness and transparency.

Each piece is individually handcrafted, giving it subtle variations in texture, weave and character.

The Story Behind the Craft

The Artisan Cage celebrates the expressive beauty of traditional bamboo weaving through a sculptural contemporary form.

Its central open geometric weave is enhanced with darker, organically twisted bamboo detailing, creating rich texture and visual depth. The lower section features an airy open weave with elongated bamboo strands extending gracefully beyond the base, giving the lampshade movement and a distinctive sculptural finish.

When illuminated, the open bamboo framework allows warm light to filter through, creating subtle patterns of light and shadow and bringing the craftsmanship to life.
